A Wreath and a Layout...

Hello Paper Trunkers.
Can you believe that summer's almost over? I'm sure a few of you have already sent your children off to school and may be enjoying the "peace and quiet" huh? It's gone by so fast and unfortunately our summer heat has finally decided to come and visit down here in So Cali. And it's NOT "better late than never". *rolling eyes* We're talking record breaking heat...100 degrees. Yuck.

Anyway, because it's just not safe to take the kiddos out right now, we've all been cooped up in the home which has allowed me to get some crafting done. Check it out...

Today I have a wreath to share along with a layout.

First, is what I call my "semi" nautical wreath. Lately I've been seeing this huge burlap wreath craze around the crafty blog world and was inspired. I used the Wrangler line for the flowers that I cut out with my handy dandy cricut. I also took some burlap and wrapped my wreath and also took some of my scraps and used them to create some flowers too. I thought I'd throw in a few seashells in there too just because I love the beach and love starfish *smile*. And well this is what I came up with. :)

A close up of my starfish. Just love it!

My welcome sign cut with my cricut.
I decided to hang this cute "seashell angel" that my
mom gave me. She actually made it herself.
Cute huh?
Second is my layout entitled "In one year". The pictures are of my daughter Kendra. My triplets just turned 1 in July. This year has been one big whirlwind of events. So much has happened but the one thing I do see is how healthy my children are and I'm blessed by this. I came across this picture of Kendra and I (top left) when they were all still in the NICU. My hubby and I did skin to skin with them all the time. I'm so glad we caught a shot of Kendra doing this. She was the teeniest...2 lbs. 9 oz. to be exact. So she would fit right on my chest underneath my shirt in the most perfect way. I loved doing this with her. And here's my layout showing how much she's grown in one year. I can't believe it!

I put some glitter around the rim of the clouds.

Well thank you so much for stopping by the PT blog. Hope you found some inspiration. :)
