New Beginnings!

Happy new year to all of our faithful fans!

This time of year I spend quite a bit of time thinking about starting fresh. I don't really make resolutions but I do make decisions about the way I want my life to be. One of the best things that happens this time of year is that my husband and I celebrate our anniversary on January 11. We got married this time of year because the weather was nice in Arizona where we lived then. Now, it's very cold on our anniversary and we are much more limited in what we can do together on that day. However, each year when our anniversary rolls around, I know that we are recommitting ourselves to each other. I made a card for him with the fabulous Gigi line of papers. Did you know that the Graceful paper has hearts on it? Perfect for telling someone special how much you love them.

The outside of the card has a flower with some of the petals plucked. The plaid paper was a perfect choice for the card because the inside is a nice neutral color that could easily be stamped on.

I've also used my favorite alphabet - the Paper Trunk Carson alphabet

I made a second card for you today and it will be given to a co-worker who went on medical leave to have surgery. He is experiencing a new beginning by returning to work. He's a very important part of my department and I hope he knows he's appreciated. For his card, I have used some regular party crepe paper, glimmer mist, Benny alphabet, and the Rockabilly line of papers.


Because this season is one for me to reflect on the previous year, I'm also going to make a thank you card for someone who did something wonderful for me last year. If I get that completed tonight, then I'll share it with you tomorrow before I send it out to him.
