Party Decorations = Party Pages!

So, here's a question for everyone...Have you ever spent hours on end creating beautiful party decorations with your scrappy supplies only to have them go to waste and never be used again?  I sure have!  This past month my daughter celebrated her fourth birthday.  The budget was slim, and like many of you have probably done, I handmade the party decorations with my scrapbooking supplies.  The theme of the party was an undersea pool party.  The Paper Trunk Socialite collection was perfect for it.  The colors are so cheerful!
Each of these tags had a different sea creature on one side and a circle of patterned paper from the Socialite collection and a die-cut seashell with a number four in the center to represent my little girl turning four.
These mermaids were just too adorable to pass on making!  They were cut using my Silhouette SD and helped to make the undersea theme a little more girly.  I used the Socialite paper here on the tails and bikini tops.  They made perfect centerpieces!

Lastly, I created this cute little banner.  Instead of spelling something out, I simply put a letter "k" in the center on the banner.  These turned out way too cute to let them go to waste!

It's easy to see just how much work went into these decorations.  I was so pleased when I realized how great they'd work as embellishments for my scrapbook party pages!  So far I've only used the banner on a page, but I plan on using the sea creature tags and mermaids as well.
This page also uses paper from the Kraft collection and Paper Trunks alphabet stickers.
Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my party with you!  Cheers!

  1. These decorations are better than anything you could find in a party store! not just because they are handmade (which is great) but, the detail in unmatched! I LOVE how you "recycled" the decorations and used them on a page...you are brilliant!
