Dreaming of Summer

I originally thought that I would make a first day of school page to share on the blog. My middle kiddo did just start kindergarten after all, and that is a big milestone! But when it came down to it, these vacation pictures are the ones that spoke to me. If there is one thing I know about how I scrap, it's go with the pictures that inspire. My husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Europe last summer, just the two of us. I have such great memories from that trip! One of the memories is my borderline obsession with taking our pictures myself. We seriously have so many pictures with this same set up. My super long arms sure come in handy for the classic hold-the-camera-out-and-snap pictures! I narrowed it down to three of my favorites: One from Sacre Coeur in Paris, one from The Louvre, and one from the steps of the Cologne Cathedral. Even though I look totally jet-lagged in the last picture, it brings back the happy memory of finally arriving...I had traveled alone since my husband had already been in Germany for awhile on a business trip.

The Rockabilly papers made this page come together in a snap! I used one sheet of the Rockin' paper and cut out the emblem so it would layer over my pictures. I punched 3 hearts from the Cherry paper, punched a border on my photos, added my title, simple journaling, and a few stickers. That was it! I love when pages just come together so easily.

Hope everyone has a great long weekend! So long, summer. So long vacation. Hello Fall! I can't wait to see you.

PS-Don't forget to enter the giveaway in the post below! It's still open!
