In fact, it came together so quickly, I made a second page that night! That is also unusual for me. I'm actually not a very good night time scrapper. I have a hard time leaving pages unfinished, and I'm not much of a night owl at all. I really like to scrap in the middle of the day, but with 3 kids home for the summer, there isn't much time for afternoon scrapping! Again, this fast scrapping is the way to go. Two pages done in between the kids' bedtime and my bedtime!

I used Rockabilly for this line. Again, love this line!
I've had this picture of my middle kiddo sitting on my desk for months. I love the picture of him, but wasn't quite sure what story I wanted to tell. It suddenly came to me. This picture is just so Logan. I have no idea what he was pouting about (and I probably didn't even know what it was about back when it happened in January.) That is just Logan. When he is hurt, he keeps his thoughts and the details to himself. I knew I needed to document this side of him. Chances are, this will always be a part of who he is.
Journaling: "You have a hard time sharing what happened when you get hurt. That goes for physical or emotional hurts. You just want to be left alone to deal with it. It sometimes takes days for you to share...and sometimes you won't share at all. It's hard for me to understand this part of you. You are just like your daddy in this way! Please remember that I am always here if you need to talk. And I promise to give you space and time to process. Even though I don't understand (and to be honest, it's the total opposite of me,) I love you so much, just the way you are!"
Hope everyone is having a great summer!
LOVE both of these Megs!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pages Megan. That's a fantastic picture on the second layout too!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'm more of a "day" scrapper too but summertime is proving to be hard with the kids around - so I totally understand. that's why I've been getting up early and doing things before they're even up! i love it!
Super Cute Megs. Love that pic of Logan.
