School is finished!

Well, school finished for my children last Friday and we're all trying to get used to the summer mode around here. I think they're not used to being with one another 24/7. And truth be told ... neither am I! Boy! It was definitely a trying week. And here I was totally excited that they were going to be home. Now, don't get me wrong ...we have had fun going to the park, the water park and riding bikes.

Anyways, thinking about school and the wonderful teachers that my children had this past year I made a teacher gift which could also be used for a student as they could hang the clipboard in their locker and the other 2 items could be at their desk. I used the Socialite collection which is such a fun & cheerful collection and it just makes me smile!

I took a wooden clipboard (from the dollar store) and painted it with chalkboard paint. I then covered part of it with paper and cork. I covered some chipboard pieces with paper and made a "cover" for a sticky note pad and also covered a little notebook.

Supplies used: Paper Trunk (Socialite collection), EK Success punch, Offray ribbon, Chatterbox stamp, ink (Colorbox), Heidi Swapp green flower, buttons, clipboard and cork board (dollar store)

Off to enjoy the wonderful weather.
Have a great weekend!
