July is right around the corner and with it comes family bbq's, get-togethers, and in my family's case, a LOAD of birthdays and special occasions!
When it comes to giving gifts to family that live all over the United States, I have found it best to purchase gift cards as presents (and much less expensive to ship!).
Just any old gift card holder won't do; No Way! You need one that screams summertime and fun!

I made this little cutie with the new Rockabilly line and a few little extras I had lying around. Bet you are wondering how I made the ice cream cone, aren't you?
Well, guess what Trunkers, I have the answer AND a FREEBIE just for you! I created a card template for you to use for your "summertime" gift giving!
You can find the download here: Ice Cream Cone Template
Now that you have it, how do you use it?
Step One: Open the template (PDF file). At this point you can move onto step 2 or for you digi/hybrid goddesses out there, you can add to the image! You could put a sentiment on the inside, dropping some digital paper or art onto the template, or any other fab idea to make this card really stand out!
Step Two: Print off the Template. I have found it easiest to print a few copies of the image onto different patterned paper or even cardstock that matches the patterned paper you want to use! (Remember, all of Paper Trunk's fabulous lines are available to color-match on Bazzill Basic's Color Matchmaker website!)
Print 1: background (and inside as seen below)
Print 2: the cone
Print 3: the ice cream
By printing multiples, you are able to cut out the pieces you want without having to trace a piece of the image and risk trimming too much!

DARLING!!! This will be a perfect card for my niece who is having an ice-cream b-day party!
