Carrie Postma & the Blog Rock

Hi Everyone! I hope you have enjoyed getting to know the Trunk Team these past couple of weeks, I know I have!  I'm Carrie, the owner and designer for Paper Trunk, and I guess it's time for me to share a little about me.

I started scrapbooking when I could hold a pair of scissors.  I have always been crafty and over the last 10+ years, I have taught myself graphic design.  I very much love to scrapbook and get my fingers all inky.  It's therapy and solace from my busy schedule.

I have the most supportive family!  They are very helpful when it comes to designing new products.  My 6 year old daughter enjoys sitting down with me to scrapbook and I absolutely cherish that time with her!  My boys enjoy flipping through the books I (we) have assembled over the years.  I love this hobby in more ways than I can express!

One of the things I really dislike is talking about myself so, I am going to move on to something way more exciting!!!

There is a new collection just itching to get out of the Trunk!  The Trunk Team has been desperately trying not to spill the beans and it is finally time to REVEAL!!!

Each day two of the Trunk Designers will reveal one of the papers from the new collection.  One in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Why?  Well, the new designs are so fantastic they each need a special debut.  So, one designer will reveal the front side and the other will reveal the back side!  Believe me, this new collection is like having two-in-one!

So, here's the nitty-gritty of the BLOG ROCK:
  1. The Trunk Team will post a side of the new paper everyday until June 1st (see the schedule below)
  2. Visit the designers personal blogs to see the new designs and participate by answering a question, trivia, or comment on their blogs.  That means there will be at least 10 prizes to giveaway!!!
  3. Check back here on June 1st to see the final reveal and a chance to win the GRAND PRIZE!

Let's get this BLOG ROCK rolling...
We are so excited to share the new collection!  The new line is called ROCKABILLY...uh, it seriously rocks.
Do ya'll remember the survey that was posted a few months ago?  In the survey, I had asked what color combo you were drawn to...ringing any bells?  Well, the color combo that received the most votes was this one:

I loved having input from all our fabulous Trunk fans!  To be honest, I was not expecting that color combo to be the most popular but, it was and I had a lot of fun playing with it to create the Rockabilly line!!!

Without further ado, I give you the first reveal of the Rockabilly line!  This paper is called Daddy-O and here is the back side:

Isn't it scrumptious?  Can you just see all the potential in this one sheet of paper?!  Here is your question:
Are you familiar with the Rockabilly Era?
Reply to this post and let us know!!!
Don't forget to check RACHEL'S BLOG this afternoon to see the front side of Daddy-O!!!
