I saw this and was SO excited! I'm trying to convince my mom that she needs to go Digital. She takes reusable bags to the store and drives an eco-friendly car because she's doing her part! She knows she can't do much to help, but does what she can. I know I'm suppose to write about what I do, but she's the one I want to have to program so I wrote about her!
ReplyDeleteHappy Scrapping!
Oh, and my email addy is jessctr@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI work out at home instead of driving to the gym... saves time and gas! I also use MMS. I love it so much, I bought a copy for my sister, too... but neither one of us have version 2 yet. Can't wait to try it! As for habits I would like to try... I've been doing a blog (lots easier than sending out letters to everyone I know and saves trees) but I would like to update it more often. It's so hard to find the time! dianne6974@yahoo.com <3
ReplyDeleteI use my reusable grocery bags for all my shopping and also paint some plain ones and sell them to others. We also recycle everything possible to help do our part and use no chemicals on our farm to grow produce.

We recycle every little thing that we can, from soda cans and newspapers to reusing plastic bags and containers! I also reuse/re-purpose items for my scrapbooking addiction...like old calendar covers and pages for mini album! Thanks for this opportunity! jamielanedesigns@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWe really try to do our part to recycle, reduce & reuse. Anything that I can't use to alter or scrap with gets recycled. Compostable food scraps go into a compost pile. My husband even takes scrap metal in for family fun funds.
ReplyDeleteI do need to be better about using the totes I have for shopping instead of getting the plastic bags, but we use those to either return to the store bins or use for our garage sales.
First off and most importantly i went DIGITAL for my scrapbooking which saves about a million tons of paper every year! Second, I donate all of our cans to Cans for Kids, to help kids with cancer. Since our state does not have a can return policy, this saves the cans from going into the local dump. We also hang our large items on the clothesline instead of drying them in the dryer! Now if I can win this copy of MMS I can give it to my sister who needs to go digital herself!

What a great give away for Earth Day!!!In our household we recycle all of our plastic, glass and aluminum. Also all of the papers my boys bring home from school we try to reuse those, if not into the recycling they go. Also all of my kids clothes get handed down to friends to be used again.

We try and recycle the things that we can. I have gone digital with my scrapbooking. I absolutely love the MMS V.1 I do not have V2 yet. We save everything that we can use to have family crafts and fun time! Email mandiandweston@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWow great giveaway! I really want to try digi, but I'm a little intimidated by it!
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky in that out local council does a collection of recyclable materials every fortnight so we can recycle a lot of our household waste quite easily. We also have a compost heap at the bottom of the garden. My car insurance company offset my carbon footprint too!
I blogged about your pledge to scrap green on my blog to help spread the word a bit!

One echo friendly item I'd like to try is collected rain water from our downspouts into rain barrels. This water can then be used to wash cars, bath dogs, water plants/grass......
ReplyDeleteThe habit I want to get better at is using my reusable shopping bags EVERY time I shop. I need to remember to store them in my car instead of closet so I always have them.
I reuse my cups for coffe & tea so they don't continue to pile up in the landfills. My email is behmann@bellsouth.net. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI am very into re-purposing anything I can find into my crafting....not only is it eco-friendly, but friendly on the ole wallet as well. My most unusual repurpose was taking an old soccer cleat of my husband's and turning it into a Butterfly wall hanging :) Now that is what I call re-purpose :)

I wash out and reuse waterbottles.. that saves me money and keeps it out of the landfields. I also send all my paper scraps to be recycled.

I use cloth/reuseable shopping bags everywhere I shop. DH and I recycle so much, that we only 1/3 fill our (smallest one available) garbage can, but we have to "borrow" neighbors recycling cans. (Done with their permission of course)
ReplyDeleteI use cloth towels instead of paper towels, napkins and cleaning rags. We do not use plastic flatware or paper plates. I sell Tupperware, so we used my discount plus a sale to buy enough plastic plates for picnics and BBQ's.
Kassi- be careful washing and reusing water bottles, many release BPE's into the water, and can harbor tons of icky bacterias. A Nagdaline or non-BPE reusable hard water bottle that you can refill and sanitize would be better for you and the environment. I have three or four I keep filled and in the fridge. Bought on clearance at Target or from Tupperware.

ReplyDeleteI don't do as much as I should. I clean without chemicals, buy organic and use flourescent light bulbs in my home. Also have bills sent via e-mail and pay everything electronically.
I use home items such as packaging and clothing tags on my layouts instead of always buying new stuff. I'm also learning about digital scrapping to cut down on the waste.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I recycle!

I drink a lot of water and to save on plastic bottles, I have 2 32 oz mugs that I use ALL the time! We also recycle everything. And I mean everything, even the toilet paper tubes go to my son's school for their hamster to chew on. My boys have adopted the habit of "shut the lights off when you leave a room!" Love hearing them say that.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!

We recycle almost everything we can and if it does not have another purpose, it usually turns into a cat toy.
ReplyDeleteDefinately ready to go digital scrapping, just waiting for the best software!

Our family recycles almost everything possible (that is, if I don't sneak off with it into my studio LOL!).
ReplyDeleteI would love to try to grow my own vegetable garden.
My email is briannenevill@gmail.com
Thanks so much for this awesome giveaway! I LOVE your products!!!
We recycle a lot and I try to use as much packaging, extra buttons etc. on my paper crafting projects. I LOVE digital crafting as well:)
ReplyDeletemarcee.rodgers@gmail.com
We're recycling cans, plastics, glass and paper. I use many recycle items in my art and love to find ways to reuse!
ReplyDeleteI love the pinwheels you made and YES..looks like a garden! Gorgeous paper :)
janhngs@fctc.coop
definitely use reusable water bottles
ReplyDeleteWe as a family have been recycling our trash daily. It is amazing how much can be recycled.
ReplyDeleteAs a crafter, I love to find everyday things to recycle. I just recently made the cutest mini books for my kids with their lego boxes. Now they have really cool journals, coloring pages or whatever they want to use them for!
Thanks,
i try to embrace the "reduce, reuse and recycle" concept. from water bottles to grocery plastic bags to using scrapbooking packaging on my layouts, hey, big things come from small things right? ;o)
ReplyDeletejoplin_woodstock@yahoo.com
I recycle all of my paper some way, but the acid free paper and/or scraps get recycled into hand made paper.
ReplyDeleteI pack my lunch in re usable containers as well as using a re-fillable water bottle. I recycle as much waste as I can. I compost trash for my garden and grow vegetables in my garden. This year I will be getting aged horse manure from a horse barn, this will eliminate purchasing fertilizer bagged in plastic bags.
