gift idea!

I bought a regular frame that came with a plain white matte.  When I put the photo in the frame, it just felt....boring.  So, I busted out my scrapbook supplies and got to work!  Here is the plain, white matte...

boring right?  Especially when the background of your photo is white!  I grabbed some of the Krafty Collection and started to play.  I grabbed my black sharpie and colored in the edge of the matte to provide a dark border and inked up the edges of the papers.

After I figured out the design I stuck it all down with my double-stick scrapbook adhesive.  I tell you, there is endless possibilities to designing a matte!  I had so much fun creating this and it made my gift a little more special by adding the extra handmade element.  This is a great, inexpensive gift idea!

(If you try this little project, I would love to see it!)
