Cards For Heroes
***UPDATED***
Due Date has been extended to NOVEMBER 1st, 2008!!!
I receive many donation requests for crops, fundraisers, contest, sponsorships, and others. I have recently received a few requests to support the organization, Cards For Heroes.
CARDSFORHEROES.ORG is a group of hundreds of private citizens - artisans, paper crafters, card makers - who have come together through our common love of our craft and our desire to honor our armed forces serving on our behalf. Regardless of what we think about the conflicts currently going on around the world, we can agree that our heroes are brave, honorable, and deserve our support! The cards allow them to keep in touch with their loved ones, and thus we get to also bless the families who bravely keep the candle in the window at home.

Instead of sending off some of the Paper Trunk products, I wanted to spread the word about this organization. I have decided to sponsor a contest on the blog in honor of the Cards For Heroes Organization. It only takes a few minutes to create a card but, this card can have a huge impact.
Here is how this contest will work:
1. CREATE A CARD (or more). Please read the organizations requests regarding card donations and the types of cards they are looking for- FAQ
*Cards must be handmade by you, no store bought cards for this contest, please.
2. SEND PAPER TRUNK YOUR CARD. Please mail your completed cards to the following address,
Paper Trunk
PO BOX 203
WILSONVILLE, OR 97070-0203
3. ENTER TO WIN. For every card you send in, you will receive one entry in our random drawing for a HUGE Paper Trunk goody box!
***Cards must be received no later than October 25th to qualify for the drawing***
Our fabulous Designer Janelle, has created a couple of card sketches to get you motivated:

(You do not need to use these sketches nor do you
need to use Paper Trunk products)
I would love to share your card creations on the blog, so feel free to e-mail a .jpg image of your card. If you have any questions about this contest, you may ask them here in this post or feel free to send me an e-mail.
Tell your card making friends and spread the word!
