Marvelous Makeover

oh.
my.
goodness.
This past week has been technologically insane. As you may have noticed, the new website has launched along with the new shop!!! All by accident. My plan was to launch AFTER the big Fall sale but, it went a little early.

To my poor retailers who were looking for the big sale...I am sooooo sorry! I will be sending an e-mail with more information for you to take advantage of the awesome deals. The sale is still on!

My e-mail also took a dive during the switch over so if you sent me an e-mail last week, I probably didn't get it :-(...send it again!

Okay my friends, pop over to the new flashy website and have a look around. Come back here and let me know what you like about the new look. I will choose a random winner to win a Trunk Goody box! (you have until Friday, October 30th to share your thoughts)

quick update!

There has been so much going on in the Trunk office, I can hardly keep up! I wanted to pop on the blog and share a couple highlights!

  • The Studio has stepped up to support Cathy Zielske in her effort to raise funds for charity:water (scrapbookers for clean water). On November 13, 2009, The Studio will be launching a HUGE scrapbooking event that you do not want to miss!!! Here is some detail from their site:
Starting at 7pm (GMT) on Friday 13th November we will be hosting a BIG scrapbooking event. It will last for 48 hours and there will be games, challenges, special guests and PRIZES! A new challenge will be posted every 2 hours for the whole weekend! It wouldn’t be much of an event without a grand finale and we certainly have one of those lined up. Cathy Z herself will be setting the final challenge and I, for one, am pretty excited about that.
So, mark your calendar and let's do some good!

  • Paper Trunk has also partnered with The PaperLife for a giveaway...oh, aren't giveaways glorious? Click on the link to find out more information for a chance to win a Trunk prize!

  • I have been getting tons of requests for an online retailer list and I am desperately trying to create one to put on the website. You can check the Locations list HERE and if there is nothing in your area, send me an e-mail I will help you get the goods! I am excited that you are all chomping at the bit to get some Trunk goodness and I am doing what I can to get it in your hands. Thank you for being so supportive!

  • One more little thing to share... I've been working on giving the Trunk website a make-over. It's time to spice things up a bit and I'm really excited with how it is coming along! Here is a screenshot of the splash page:It still needs some tweaking and getting all the techie stuff to work but, I hope to launch the new site soon!

  • I hope you are all LOVING the inspiration the Designers have been sharing lately, I know I am totally inspired!!!

A bit of the new, A bit of the old.

I'm still playing playing with the new Krafty Collection kits! In my mind I can picture beautiful elegant wedding photos using nothing but Krafty, but seeing as I don't have any of those atm, I'll settle for scrapping my girls and popping in some bright happy colours to make it more playful :)

Here is my latest play, mixing old lines with the new Krafty, mixing the older alphas with the new Benny alphas, add some of the previously released diecuts, and you have a pretty spunky layout!

Tip: If you like the curled distressed edge of this layout, this is how I do it. Adhere your paper as normal, but leave a small border un-adhered so you have room to curl. Using either an Aqua brush (waterbrush) or just a wet paintbrush or wet fingertips, make your edges of paper wet (not too wet or else it will just break, but not too dry, otherwise it won't roll nicely). Once the paper is wet, it will become softer and more pliable, simply use your fingertips and roll your paper as much or as little as you want to create the effect.

Who has had a play with the new Krafty goodies yet????

    Happy Monday!

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!

I had fun this weekend working with
the new Krafty collection again! these papers
are gorgeous, and I loved mixing it with the bits and
pieces of color with the Maybe Baby papers.

AND even more fun adding the NEW Benny alphas!
this font is awesome, I love them! they come in a
variety of colors, but I went with the trusty black for
    this layout.

    For this layout, I used...
    Paper Trunk, Krafty
    Paper Trunk, Maybe Baby
    Paper Trunk, Jot
    Paper Trunk, Benny Alphas
    Misc ribbon
Glimmer Mist for the border & flower
